Employee Spotlight: Getting to know David Dillon, Senior Account Executive, Consumer Products at Loftware

At Loftware, we’re proud to have such dedicated and inspiring team members. For this employee spotlight, we are thrilled to feature David Dillon, Senior Account Executive, Consumer Products, at Loftware. David has been with Loftware since 2018 and is in Northern Illinois where he lives with his wife and family. In his role, David focuses on building strong relationships with our clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions that help streamline their supply chain processes.  

Journey to Loftware

David joined Loftware in 2018. When asked what brought him to Loftware, David said he had met some great Loftware people through his previous role. David stated, “Their passion for the company and its mission were contagious and played a significant role in my decision. I was excited to be a part of a team that was making a real impact in the industry.”

Unexpected discoveries at Loftware

Loftware takes pride in fostering individual growth, as well as building collaborative and lasting working relationships. When asked what David has unexpectedly come to love about working at the company, he pointed out how much people genuinely care about their teammates’ success. David said, “This culture of support and collaboration has made a significant difference in my professional journey. It’s not just about individual achievements; it’s about lifting each other up and celebrating collective wins.”  

Desired Loftware locations to visit

David has traveled to a few of our Loftware office locations, but he said he would love to visit our APAC location in Singapore. Additionally, our Šenčur, Slovenia location left a lasting impression on David. “I would love to return to reconnect with the fantastic team there and explore more of that beautiful country.” 

Advice for newcomers in the field

When asked his advice for anyone new to the field, David said, “Listen to everyone and every team. Each person and department have unique insights and experiences that can be incredibly valuable. By listening and learning from others, you can gain a comprehensive understanding of the business and develop well-rounded strategies. Building strong cross-functional relationships is key to success in this field.”

Outside the office

David has many hobbies and interests outside the office, but he said fatherhood is his favorite. “Whether it’s playing games, helping with homework, or coaching sports, spending that time with them is irreplaceable.” David also said one thing he can’t live without is his Labrador Retriever and enjoys going for walks, playing fetch, and relaxing at home with his favorite companion by his side!

Dream dinner guest

If David could have dinner with any living person, he would choose Stephen Fry. “His wit and intelligence make him an incredibly fascinating individual. I admire his work and would love to have a conversation with him about his experience and insights,” he shares.
