Employee Spotlight: Getting to know Paul Harris, Director, Presales EMEA & APAC

At Loftware, we’re thrilled to highlight the talent and passion that drive our success. For our next employee spotlight blog, we’re excited to feature Paul Harris, Director, Presales EMEA & APAC. Having been with Loftware since 2018, Paul plays a vital role in transforming customer experiences and embodying Loftware’s culture of innovation, collaboration, and curiosity.

From insight to impact

Paul’s journey to value advisory at Loftware began in 2018, and he has remained drawn to our innovation, culture, and the people he cherishes working with. His role was shaped by a diverse career path; starting in support, then professional services, followed by presales. “I saw value advisory as an opportunity to focus more on business and operations, which was really interesting to me and where I wanted to be,” Paul explains. In his previous roles at Loftware, he has gained valuable insights into every phase of the customer journey - insights he now draws on to guide customers through strategic transformations.

Paul’s early background in performing arts adds a bonus to his professional toolkit and has helped him be successful in delivering commanding presentations and engaging key customer conversations. For newcomers to the field, Paul’s advice is simple but empowering: “Never stop learning. Focus on getting to the critical information, as there’s always more to discover.”

Empowering customers and shaping outcomes

Paul’s daily contributions show his passion and dedication to innovation and driving operational excellence for customers. When asked what excited him most about his role, Paul says it’s “the variety it brings day to day. Engaging with customers, understanding their challenges, and working with them on a plan to transform their business with Loftware is deeply rewarding.”

Beyond the workplace

Outside of Loftware, Paul lives with the same energy and curiosity he brings to value advisory. Based in the UK, Paul enjoys long-distance trail running, including ultramarathons, and swimming in the sea in southern England. Fitness is a cornerstone of his personal life, and beginning his day with some form of movement keeps him energized and focused.

Paul also embraces creativity through reading and writing, podcasting, photography, and home improvement projects. Never without his pocket notebook and pen, he is always ready to capture ideas or insights. In fact, when asked about imagining a different career path, Paul said: “I’d likely be a professional fiction writer or travel writer. Storytelling has always been a dream.”
